Treat your Mum to an Afternoon Tea at the Town Hall this Mother's Day
Great Yarmouth Borough Council is holding its first ever Mother's Day Afternoon Tea at the Town Hall on Mothering Sunday, March 22.
If you are planning on treating your Mum this Mother's Day, why not bring them along to the Town Hall for a wonderful afternoon of delicious food, unlimited tea and relaxing live music. Tickets must be booked in advance.
Being held in the stunning Assembly Room, the homemade food will be catered by Westwicks and the menu will include freshly made sandwiches, homemade cakes, scones with clotted cream, coffee and an assortment of teas. There will also be a gluten free option available.
There are two sittings to choose from, one beginning at 12pm and the other at 2.30pm, with all Mums being able to enjoy a free glass of fizz. Further Prosecco and other beverages will be available to purchase from the licensed bar. Live musical entertainment will be provided by local musician Ben Garrod, a grade eight pianist with an ARSM piano diploma.
As well as the experience itself, gorgeous flower arrangements can also be purchased when buying your tickets. The arrangements will be supplied by Arcade Florists and will include a special Mother's Day balloon decoration.
Council leader Cllr Carl Smith said: "Following the success of the Wedding Fayre earlier this month, it's fantastic to see the beautiful Assembly Room now being used for another event that showcases its potential as a venue.
"The council is proud to be able to offer its first ever unique Mother's Day Afternoon Tea experience, which is a wonderful reason to spoil the special lady in your life this Mother's Day."
There is an opportunity to win a pair of tickets for this event over on Great Yarmouth Borough Councils Facebook page. If you'd like to book your place at this event, both the tickets and flower arrangements are available to purchase on the Visit Great Yarmouth website.
