Great Yarmouth Town Hall opens its doors for wedding event
People looking for a stunning local wedding venue are being invited to check out the Grade II-listed Town Hall building in Great Yarmouth.
The Town Hall will be throwing open its doors for a wedding open day event on Sunday, November 3, where couples and their families will have the opportunity to see what the historic venue has to offer.
Wendy Takman, Great Yarmouth Borough Council's events co-ordinator, said: ''The open day is an ideal opportunity to come and see this hidden gem of a venue. If you haven't visited us before, we think you'll be in for a lovely surprise. The Assembly Room is simply exquisite and makes a perfect wedding venue.''
For the open day, the Assembly Room will be dressed and styled for a wedding reception and the Town Hall's gorgeous ceremony rooms will also be available to view.
There will also be a range of local wedding suppliers the Town Hall works with and who provide services including licensed bar, catering, venue styling, photo booth hire, wedding stationery and cakes.
Couples using the Assembly Room for their reception can take advantage of ready-made, all-inclusive packages or choose to use their own suppliers.
The suppliers will be on hand to share expert knowledge and advice, while Town Hall staff will be available to discuss all the options available and answer queries over complimentary tea or coffee.
Entry to the open day is free and there is no need to book in advance. The event runs from 10:30am until 2pm and couples, friends and family are all welcome.
Parking is free of charge in the nearby Greyfriars Car Park and there will also be a free prize draw where couples have the chance to win a discount on wedding venue hire.
