Notice of election - Rollesby Parish

Election of a parish councillor for the area of Rollesby Parish

To be held on Thursday 8 August 2024

Notice is hereby given that:

1. An election is to be held for a parish councillor for the said parish.
2. Nomination papers may be obtained, during normal office hours, from the Returning Officer. Requests for nomination papers can be made via email at elections@great-yarmouth.gov.uk or telephone (01493) 846327.
3. Completed nomination papers must be delivered to the Returning Officer at the offices of Great Yarmouth Borough Council, at the address shown below, on any day after the date of this notice, during normal office hours but not later than 4pm on Friday 12 July 2024. It is important for candidates to make an appointment to deliver their completed nomination. Any request for an appointment should be made via email at elections@great-yarmouth.gov.uk or telephone (01493) 846327.
4. If the election is contested, the poll will take place on Thursday 8 August 2024 between the hours of 07:00 and 22:00.
5. Applications to register to vote must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by 12 midnight on Tuesday 23 July 2024.  Applications can be made online: https://www.gov.uk/register-to-vote.
6. Electors should take note that the deadline for new applications to vote by post or to change existing postal or proxy arrangements, e.g. cancellation or redirection etc, must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at the address shown below by 5pm on Wednesday 24 July 2024 if they are to be effective for this election.
7. Applications for a Voter Authority Certificate or an Anonymous Elector's Document valid for this election must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by 5pm on Wednesday 31 July 2024.  Applications for a Voter Authority Certificate can be made online: https://www.gov.uk/apply-for-photo-id-voter-authority-certificate.
8. New applications to vote by proxy must be received by the Electoral Registration Officer by 5pm on Wednesday 31 July 2024.
9. Applications to vote by emergency proxy at this election must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by 5pm on Thursday 8 August 2024.
