Rural Communities Support Grant

The Rural Communities Support Grant is designed to help strengthen and improve the viability of community assets and infrastructure in order to address issues such as the ageing population including connectivity, isolation, wellbeing and community cohesion/resilience.   

Rural Communities Support Grant: Expressions of interest are invited of capital grants up to a maximum of £60,000 with a 10% applicant contribution, subject to a minimum grant of £10,000. Projects MUST be capable of being delivered and grants paid out by 31st March 2025.

The Rural Communities Support Grant can support the following one theme. The examples given are not exhaustive but may help applicants bring the right projects forward for consideration:

Impactful volunteering and social action projects to develop social and human capital in local places

  • projects that strengthen and improve resilience and viability of community assets and infrastructure
  • projects addressing community and business costs through innovative approaches
  • projects that support "ageing" population issues where specific activity is backed by research, need and a sustainable business/delivery model

Examples could include the purchase of equipment and improvements to premises.
