Repair responsibilities

The repair and maintenance of Great Yarmouth Borough Council's housing stock is a joint responsibility between landlord and tenant. As landlord, we are responsible for most repairs and tenants are responsible for reporting them, as well as undertaking repairs that are their responsibility. The Council will carry out some repairs which are the responsibility of the tenant and recharge the tenant for the cost of the works.  For further information please see the Rechargeable Repairs section of this document.
