Cabinet
Cabinet is responsible for making decisions about Council services. Here you can find details of the Cabinet Notice (Forward Plan) and Key Decisions.
Full Council Meetings
Full Council Meetings are where all 39 Councillors meet in public to consider items such as annual budget setting, council tax setting and motions put forward by Members of the Council.
Other committees
Legislation excludes specific issues from being Executive decisions, including the Council's overall Budget and Policy Framework, quasi-judicial matters (such as planning and licensing applications) and issues related to staffing, audit, and standards. The Council has established the following Regulatory Committees and panels to deal with these areas.
Scrutiny Committee
The Scrutiny Committee acts as a key democratic mechanism for holding public-service decision-makers and providers to account as well as facilitating the improvement of public services within the Borough.
