Mayor of Great Yarmouth hosts Civic Ball to raise money for charity
The mayor of Great Yarmouth, Councillor Graham Plant, is to host a Civic Ball on Saturday, April 22, at the Town Hall to raise funds for his chosen local charities.
The Civic Ball, which is a 1920s-themed evening, is to mark Cllr Graham Plant's mayoral year and his service to the borough during that time.
All profits are in aid of the mayor's charities; Hemsby Lifeboat, 1st Bradwell Scout Group and Bradwell Buds.
Tickets cost £40 and include a three-course meal provided by chef Mark Dixon from the Fleggburgh Kings Arms. Musical entertainment will be provided by The TestostaTones, who perform rhythm and blues music.
There will also be a cash bar available all evening, with soft drinks and alcoholic beverages available. Doors open at 7pm for a 7.30pm start.
Cllr Plant said: "This Civic Ball is a great opportunity for me to mark my mayoral year while raising funds for my chosen charities. I really hope people come along to support these local charities, who all do brilliant things for the children of our community."
