Comments invited on the final draft Open Space Planning Document
Great Yarmouth Borough Council is asking people to provide feedback on the final draft of its Open Space Supplementary Planning Document (SPD).
The document will help guide those when preparing a planning application for residential development by setting out how they can meet the policy requirement to provide public open space. The consultation is taking place from November 25 to December 23, 2022.
Details include the requirements for providing open space on-site and off-site, the associated contribution costs, the mechanism for such payments and potential spending arrangements.
The consultation is being carried out in line with the council's Statement of Community Involvement and, following the consultation, the comments received will be considered and the document finalised for adoption.
The documents can be viewed on Great Yarmouth Borough Council's website and can also be inspected at the Town Hall, Great Yarmouth. Free hard copies are available for those who have trouble viewing documents either via the council's website or at the Town Hall.
People are asked to make specific comments on the content of the document and make it clear to which section(s) the comments relate. Comments will be accepted via email, by sending them to localplan@great-yarmouth.gov.uk or by post to: Strategic Planning, Great Yarmouth Borough Council, Town Hall, Hall Plain, Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, NR30 2QF.
