Great Yarmouth Minster to hold memorial service for His Royal Highness Prince Philip
A memorial service for HRH Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh is due to be held at Great Yarmouth Minster on the eve of his funeral, with the service led by The Rev Canon Simon Ward.
The memorial service will start at 6pm on Friday 16 April and will include readings, prayers and music. Those wishing to attend must book a ticket online in advance via Eventbrite, as numbers are limited. Tickets are required to be shown on arrival.

Guests will be required to follow the COVID guidelines, including the use of hand sanitizer on arrival and wearing a face-covering. Attendees will be required to take to their seats as quickly as possible and to adhere to the social distancing guidelines. When leaving the service, people must do so following the route and direction within the Minster.
Those attending will include Cllr Michael Jeal, the Mayor of Great Yarmouth, Lady Agnew, Deputy Lieutenant of Norfolk and the leaders from the main political parties at Great Yarmouth Borough Council.
Canon Simon Ward, Rector of Great Yarmouth, commented, "The sad passing of the Duke of Edinburgh is felt across our nation. On Friday at the Minster we will mark the end of an astonishing life and hold the Royal Family in our prayers as we give thanks for all that Prince Philip contributed to our national life"
