Great Yarmouth Borough Council invites couples to Wedding Fayre at Town Hall
The doors of the prestigious Town Hall are being opened for couples of the borough to attend a Wedding Fayre on Sunday February 2nd.
The Wedding Fayre, which will showcase a number of local suppliers such as florists, cake designers and venue decorators, is an opportunity for people to view the Victorian landmark building as their potential wedding venue.
Boasting a total of five rooms available for civil weddings, the Town Hall has the option of intimate services, up to much larger wedding parties with 200 people in the grand Assembly Room. Each high vaulted, airy room can each seat a number of different guests, enabling the Town Hall to cater for all sized occasions.
Weddings can be tailored to meet the requirements of the couple, from civil ceremonies followed by a simple drinks reception, up to an entire day of celebrations with a three-course wedding breakfast. As well as the wedding packages on offer, couples who get married at the Town Hall can also choose to book their own caterers.
The Wedding Fayre will be open to the public from 10.30am until 2.30pm, giving couples the opportunity to explore the beautifully decorated rooms and meet possible wedding suppliers. Members of the council's events team will also be present to assist in answering questions.
Cllr Carl Smith, the council leader, said: "Whether couples are looking for an intimate room, a large, airy room or an elegant venue for a civil ceremony, the Town Hall has something to suit everybody's needs.
"With listed original features, traditional tile floors and stained-glass windows, the Town Hall offers a unique yet affordable venue for those wanting to marry in Great Yarmouth."
