Tickets go on sale for the Mayor of the Borough of Great Yarmouth's annual Civic Ball

People are being invited to apply for tickets for the annual Civic Ball in Great Yarmouth to celebrate the Mayor's year of service.

Councillor Paula Waters-Bunn, Mayor of the Borough of Great Yarmouth

The Mayor of the Borough of Great Yarmouth, Councillor Paula Waters-Bunn, will host the ball on Saturday, May 10, at the Assembly Room in the Town Hall.

The evening starts at 7.30pm and includes a three-course dinner with musical entertainment provided by Karla Beare - a regular lead vocalist with the highly acclaimed Piccadilly Orchestra - and others. Carriages are at midnight.

The theme for the ball is black, red and gold with a smart/formal dress code for the event. Tickets cost £40 per person and all proceeds from the night will go to the Mayor's Charity Fund.

Her Worship The Mayor said: ''The annual Civic Ball is always a key event in the borough calendar and I am very much looking forward to what promises to be an excellent evening.

''It will also be a great opportunity to raise vital funds for charity. My chosen charities all do exceptional work locally and are special to me. The care and support the Great Yarmouth Stroke Group and Age Connected provide for people is extremely valuable and, as a grassroots sports club, Shrublands Football Club is a beacon in the local community that I am proud to be able to support.''

There will also be a charity raffle at the ball and if anyone would like to donate to donate prizes, experiences or gift vouchers they are asked to email mayor@great-yarmouth.gov.uk.
