Great Yarmouth Town Hall throws open its doors for super Wedding Fayre

The fayre, which is designed to help inspire couples planning their wedding, takes place on Sunday, February 2, and is free to attend. Exhibitors for the day include florists, cake designers, venue decorators, photographers and entertainers, as well as a range of other services and suppliers.

The event also offers an excellent opportunity for couples, family and friends to explore the Victorian landmark building as a potential unique wedding venue.

Boasting three rooms available for civil weddings, the Town Hall is the perfect location for couples to celebrate their entire wedding day - from ceremony through to evening reception - and can accommodate up to 200 guests.

Weddings can be individually tailored to meet the requirements of couples, from civil ceremonies followed by a simple drinks reception, through to an entire day of celebrations with a three-course wedding breakfast.

Couples who get married at the Town Hall have the freedom to choose their own caterers, which means they have the flexibility on style of food and budget. Additionally, there are inclusive wedding packages available for those looking for a 'ready-made' option.

The Wedding Fayre is open to the public from 10.30am until 2pm, giving people the opportunity to explore the beautifully decorated rooms and meet suppliers. The council's events team will also be on hand to answer questions.

There is also a chance to enter a free prize draw at the fayre and refreshments can be purchased from the licensed bar. Free parking is available at Greyfriars Car Park just behind the Town Hall.

Wendy Takman, Great Yarmouth Borough Council's events co-ordinator, said: "The Town Hall is an accessible, affordable and unique wedding venue which can cater for smaller, more intimate weddings, right up to larger celebrations of love.

''The historic town hall is in the heart of Great Yarmouth and makes a lovely place for couples to host their big day. Our wedding fayres are always popular and we look forward to seeing people on February 2.''
