General information
Please note- 4 weeks advance payment, proof of ID and your home address will be required if and when you sign for your garage.
If there is no garage available in your chosen areas your details will be recorded on waiting list for period of one year. Prior to the anniversary of your application, we will contact you to enquire if you wish to remain on the waiting list (your original application date will be maintained).
You will be made 1 offer in accordance with your preferences. If the 1 offer is refused your details will be removed from the waiting list.
Terms and Conditions of acceptance
Your responsibilities
- you will be responsible for maintaining the garage in good condition & replacement keys/lock change if required.
- you must not carry out any car repairs other than to your own vehicle or any trade activities in the garage or the surrounding area.
- you must take all reasonable steps to prevent damage to the garage and you are responsible for the costs of repairing any damage you, your family or your visitors cause.
- you must help to keep the garage, and surrounding areas tidy by removing and getting rid of all waste materials appropriately.
- you must take particular care when getting rid of oil, petrol or any other waste from maintaining a vehicle. You must never pour oil or any similar waste down any drain or gully.
- with reasonable notice, you must allow Estate Manager/Inspector/Contractors into the garage to inspect it and carry out any necessary repairs.
- you must not take any electricity power cable to the garage.
- storage of petrol or other inflammable liquid, gas or material in the garage is not permissible.
- you must not sublet the garage or allow any other person to use the garage.
- we do not provide contents insurance, so you must arrange this yourself (Please note the council accepts no responsibility for damage to any items kept in this garage).
Keeping to the conditions of this licence
We will send you a Notice of Termination (which ends this licence) if:
- you have missed any rent payments.
- you misuse the garage.
- you cause nuisance to or annoy anyone else.
- you fail to follow the conditions of the licence; or
Changing this licence
We have the right to change the conditions of this licence from time to time. We will always give you one months' notice in writing beforehand.
