How we test our websites

We are required to make sure our services meet level AA of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.2 (WCAG 2.2) as a minimum. We also aim to meet level AAA where it is practical to do so.

We undertake regular testing of the content on our websites covered by this Accessibility Statement in order to review where we still need to make improvements, or identify new issues that may have been introduced since the last audit and resolve where possible.

We use Silktide as an external service to undertake those tests. We also use browser extension tools to test pages that cannot be accessed directly via the Internet, these include the Silktide client, Axe DevTools and Lighthouse.
