Forthcoming local elections - Thursday 6 May 2010
The Borough Council elections are taking place on Thursday 6 May, for a third of the Council.  Polling hours for these elections will be from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. at polling stations located throughout the Borough.  Please click here to find out more informations

Don’t miss your chance to vote
You can only vote in these elections if you are on the register of electors.  The last date for applications to be added to the electoral register in time for these elections is Tuesday 20 April 2010.

If it would be easier, and have not already done so, you can apply to vote by post.  New applications to vote by post must reach the Elections Team, Central Service, Town Hall, Great Yarmouth, NR30 2QF by no later than 5 p.m. on Tuesday 20 April 2010.

Alternatively you could appoint a proxy (someone to vote on your behalf).  A person cannot act as proxy for more than two voters unless they are close relatives.  The deadline for completed proxy forms is 5 p.m. on Tuesday 27 April 2010.

Information regarding the next Parliamentary Election, which must be held by 3 June 2010, will appear on these pages when the date of this election has been announced.
